Dianne Flynn was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire in 1939. She attended art schools in Huddersfield and Batley and thereafter gained a graduate Diploma in Art and Design at the Manchester School of Arts in 1973. Dianne became a full-time professional artist in 1976 and has enjoyed decades of success. Her artistic skills brought her to the attention of George Rowney & Co who employed her as an oil and watercolour demonstrator for several years. Admirers and collectors of Flynn’s work have been captivated by her highly appealing impressionistic style, her compositions delight with colour, vitality and behold an elegant charm. Subjects such as children holidaying and making fond memories have a timeless appeal. Dianne’s works have been exhibited at various art institutes across Great Britain including exhibitions at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Pastel Society London. Dianne lived in Normandy, France with her artist husband Paul Hedley before eventually moving back to the UK and now resides in Exeter.
