Welcome to Carnes Fine Art

We are proud to be an independent art gallery, specialising in original paintings, sculpture and works on paper. The gallery is located at Cedar Farm in the rural and beautiful setting of Mawdesley, Lancashire.

We collaborate directly with artists locally and across the UK.  In our view this close working, better enables us to convey a true understanding of the artist, their journey and inspiration behind their works. We offer a broad range of original works of art, from contemporary to traditional, with a focus on landscapes, wildlife, equine, impressionism, northern art and collectable pieces.  We are pleased to offer latest works by some of the country’s leading artists in addition to well established Lancashire artists; please see ‘Artists page’ for a comprehensive list.

We have particular expertise and appreciation of British and French works of art. For older pieces, we follow a strict criteria with condition, visual composition, provenance, desirability and quality front of mind. Carnes Fine Art collection is frequently updated and can be viewed on this website  (see ‘Collections page’ for defined categories) and at the gallery. 

We are incredibly passionate about art and what our business represents.
