I would like to extend my warmest welcome to our new gallery artist, Clare Shaughnessy.
Clare Shaughnessy was born in the Wirral in 1963 and is a professional wildlife artist, specialising in birds and animal subjects. Clare’s status in the top tier of wildlife art has long been established, her works have been exhibited nationally and she has been nominated three times for wildlife artist of the year.
Clare works in various mediums such as oils and mixed applications of watercolour and coloured pencils. Clare likes to capture animals at times of solitude, when the animals are totally at ease and there’s a gentleness or a vulnerability about them. In these moments, Clare feels that they are sharing something secret and intimate. Clare’s art work is admired and collected in the UK and around the world.
I am delighted to be collaborating with Clare and I look forward to showcasing her works in the gallery.
