Geoffrey Dashwood

Geoffrey Dashwood was born in Hampshire, England in 1947. At the age of fifteen, he won a scholarship to study fine art at Southampton College of Art. Geoffrey left college and went on to work with the forestry commission as a keeper in the New Forest where he became an unofficial artist in residence for his employers. He later left his role to pursue a career in art and in the 1980’s Dashwood followed his passion for sculpture and has since gone on to have great success in fine art sculpture. Geoffrey’s work embodies his affinity for nature and birds, his work has a smooth tactile finish with alluring bronze patination, his subjects are chosen from true natural forms, the human body through to wildlife and nature. Dashwood’s sculptures are exhibited and collected worldwide.
