Gary Benfield was born in Birmingham in 1965. He studied at Stourbridge College of Art and later at Wrexham College of Art. From 1986 Gary worked as a professional illustrator and later set up a studio in London to further concentrate on becoming a full-time artist. Gary is an incredibly talented artist, he can work in various mediums such as graphite, watercolour and oils and excels in equine, figurative and architectural subjects. Gary is able to capture the beauty and vitality of his subjects which has made him one of the UK’s most successful artist. Gary has exhibited works in America, Canada, Moscow and London and sold to collectors throughout the world.
